THE METHOD
How a Sorada formula is built.

The question
Every formula starts with a problem written in plain language: roots greasy by day two, lengths that will not hold moisture, a scalp that itches after every wash.

The blank beaker
Nothing is adapted from a supplier's stock recipe. The system is built from zero: cleanser blend, conditioning agents, actives, pH.

The percentages
Each raw material is moved in fractions and tested against the last version. One variable at a time, so we know exactly what caused the change.

Real hair, real washes
Tested through repeated wash cycles on different hair types — wet combing, drying time, day-three feel — not just on paper.

Our own production
The approved formula goes into our own facility unchanged. No cost-driven substitutions between the bench and the batch.

Release
A formula launches when there is nothing left to improve — not when a season demands a novelty.
WHY PERCENTAGES DECIDE EVERYTHING
Small adjustments create remarkable differences.
Change a conditioning agent by half a percent and the same formula moves from weightless slip to build-up within three washes.
Adjust the pH by a few drops and the cuticle closes differently, which changes shine, colour retention and how quickly hair dries.
Lower an active to save cost and the ingredient is still on the label — it simply stops doing anything. This is the single most common compromise in commercial haircare.
Our work is the patient documentation of those movements, batch after batch, until the formula behaves identically in every bathroom it enters.
CONTROL
Owning the production is part of the formulation.
Very few cosmetic houses are owned by the person who developed the formulas. Sorada is — and the manufacturing belongs to us as well.
That means the percentage written at the bench is the percentage produced at scale, and every batch can be traced back to the raw material that entered it.
It also means we can keep expensive actives in a formula when a contract manufacturer would have quietly removed them.
WHAT WE WILL NOT SAY
We never promise more than the science allows.
No miracle claims, no before-and-after theatre, no results that depend on a filter.
Solid formats because removing water removes plastic and weight — not because it photographs well.
If we cannot support a claim, it does not appear on the packaging or on this page.
